Warranty Exclusions

General wear and tear and natural variations in the material are not considered to be faults or defects within the product, and therefore are not covered by a warranty. Fabric and leather upholstery, internal mechanisms, cushions, and fillings may show signs of wear and tear with use. Foam and fillings may soften and conform to shape of the user over time. Depending on the chosen upholstery and the frequency of use, the materials, cushion fillings and internal components may need to be replaced periodically at the purchaser's expense.

Above warranty periods assume residential usage of the product. If the product is used in commercial settings, the warranty periods diminish. Please enquire with our staff about commercial usage warranty periods.

Genuine leather and cowhide products are natural in origin, and as such, variations in colour, grain, texture, and natural markings are considered to be natural and inherent characteristics of the product.

Warranty Terms

Any repairs or replacements made under this warranty are limited to the defective component only. Strictly Comfort reserves the right to charge standard delivery costs and home visits to the purchaser (these are not included under the terms of this warranty). Furthermore, Strictly Comfort reserves the right to decide whether a component should be repaired or replaced.

Where styles and colours have been discontinued over time, Strictly Comfort reserves the right to substitute warrantied product with the nearest colour or style of equivalent value. Every effort will be made to match current style and colour.

Subject to the Australian Consumer Law, this warranty does not apply to any products sold as secondhand, floor stock, display clearance, repaired products, or products that have a defect that was brought to the customer’s attention before the purchase of the product or stated on the sale invoice.

This warranty will no longer be valid if the furniture is damaged due to any accident, alterations, misuse, abuse, unauthorised commercial use, misapplication, improper handling, improper removal, incorrect operation, improper cleaning/fabric protection, and normal wear and tear (examples of wear and tear include but are not limited to: stains and discoloration due to human use, normal fabric fraying and loss of colour intensity from prolonged use, exposure to salt air, damage from pets or insects).

This warranty does not cover costs associated with warranty service which includes, but is not limited to, transportation costs to and from our showroom/factory/warehouse, costs of removal or re-installation of product, or any incidental or consequential damages.

This warranty provides the customer with specific legal rights and limitations. You may have other rights, which vary from state to state. No employee of Strictly Comfort has the authority to increase or alter the obligation of this warranty.

How to Make a Claim

In order to activate this warranty, the purchaser must contact Strictly Comfort within 14 days of any defect occurring. Upon return of the damaged product, Strictly Comfort will inspect and evaluate the warranty claim. If the product is deemed to be damaged by reasons not related to the warranty cover, the purchaser will be required to cover the full costs of the repair.

After the receipt of new goods, the purchaser has 30 days to report any product defects. Defects and damages reported after 30 days will be considered misuse or general wear and tear.

The purchaser has 30 days from the date of delivery or receipt of the product to notify Strictly Comfort if they are missing any components of their order. After this time elapses, the order will be considered as complete.

To benefit under this warranty, the purchaser must supply their original invoice as proof of purchase. They must also be the original purchaser at the original delivery address. All warranties non-transferable.
