Strictly Comfort Shipping & Delivery information

To assist you in receiving your purchased goods, we provide 2 types of delivery service.  A normal van type service with a single driver, OR a 2 men and a truck type delivery service for larger bulkier items which require a more professional level of assistance to deliver safely into your home.  Strictly Comfort reserves the right to choose one service type over the other if in our professional opinion, we feel it would be unsafe to use the lesser method for the sake of cost, both for the safety of your home, your product and the safety of our delivery people.

Below is a breakdown of delivery type services which will assist you in selecting the right method

 

  • Please note that Strictly Comfort carries out its deliveries on Saturday’s only. 
  • It is a requirement that you make yourself available for the entire period between 10am-8pm on the day of your delivery
  • It is impossible for us to provide you with an accurate delivery time, please do not call the store demanding this information as we simply cannot provide it for you. 
  • Our drivers will attempt to make contact with you when they are on their way from the previous delivery if it is at all possible. 
  • Closer suburbs to Cremorne will be serviced first, however
  • Drivers are permitted to rearrange their delivery sequence judging by the closest distance from the previous delivery / traffic conditions or perceived difficulty of delivery.
  • If it is not possible for you to be available for this window period, please inform strictly comfort staff who will be happy to assist you to re-schedule your delivery for the following Saturday.

 

By agreeing to purchase custom goods you agree to the following:

 

It is important that sufficient access is available to deliver the goods you have purchased. Refunds will not be given for Custom Made Furniture which does not fit into your home for lack of attention to detail when taking measurements. 

 

Whilst we at Strictly Comfort make every effort to assist you in the design and manufacture of the products your purchase from our store, we cannot be held responsible for custom made goods NOT fitting into your home.  By purchasing goods from our store, you accept responsibility for measuring your home to ensure the goods you custom make will be able to fit into your home.  This includes the passageway to allow a safe and easy passage from our delivery truck to the final resting place of the goods you have purchased.

 

You MUST advise us of any perceived problems which may affect the ability of your goods to be delivered correctly.

 

Our delivery people are paid to deliver goods into your home by the simplest and safest way possible, which means through a doorway into the specific room using a flat trolley.  They will happily take goods upstairs if this is necessary but they will not lift goods over balcony's, through windows, or up flights of stairs with ropes etc. anything that will increase the risk of injury to themselves, or damage to your home will not be done.

 

Whilst the delivery people will take great care to ensure that your precious floors and walls / door jams are not damaged during the delivery process, it should be noted that some goods are extremely heavy (in excess of 200kgs dead weight) and the passageway to the final resting place may not allow for more than 2 persons (on occasions 1 person) to manipulate the goods through tight spaces.  As such, some minor knocks may be unavoidable, and you must accept that this may occur on rare occasions.

 

If it turns out that a miscalculation on dimensions was made and the goods simply cannot be delivered, there are some options which may be available to modify the goods so that they WILL fit, however, the cost of these options including any pickup, transport and re-delivery fees will be the responsibility of the purchaser. 

 

Due to the inherent nature of custom made goods, there is a greater chance of delays in the manufacturing process of such products which are in most cases unavoidable.

 

Please note that all lead time dates are TENTATIVE only, and are NOT GUARANTEED.

 

If you have provided us with your mobile number our delivery team will update you on the arrival and the delivery of your furniture via SMS.

 

Goods will NOT be booked for delivery unless final payments for those goods have been received.  If an arrangement has been made to pay the balance upon delivery, the goods will not be left with the customer until final payment has been received by Strictly Comfort staff.

 

Final payments using personal cheques will prevent deliveries from being carried until such time as clear funds have been received by Strictly Comfort. 

No correspondence regarding this will be entered in to.

 

Delivery drivers are under no circumstances permitted to receive monies.  If you are asked to make a payment to a delivery driver, you should refuse in the first instance and contact Strictly Comfort staff immediately on (02) 9953 5312.

 

Measurements quoted and available product colours displayed on this website are approximate only and may vary slightly from the actual product manufactured. 

 

Please note, in all circumstances we do our utmost to ensure all those items detailed in this information sheet are to your satisfaction, again we reiterate that custom made goods can and DO vary slightly from our floor models and fabric selection range due only to batches.

1.ONE MAN DELIVERIES

Local $66.00 (within 10km of Cremorne Store)

We provide for a delivery service in the very local area to our store in Cremorne with the use of a single delivery man.  The minimum fee of $66.00 covers delivery of most small goods (if required) or goods which can fit into a small van.  Unless otherwise specified, by choosing this service and its associated price, customers agree to assist as best they can the delivery of goods into their homes.  Goods which will normally fit into this category are mattresses up to Queen Size only.  Bedframes that come disassembled (setup can be arranged with an extra charge).  Statues, Wall Hangings, Ottomans with or without fold out bed, lounges up to 2.5 STR or less than 2 metres in length that DO NOT contain a fold out bed.  Bedside tables, lamps and all manner of other accessories which require delivery and can be expected to be delivered by a single driver AND the customer making the purchase.  Example areas would include Cremorne, Cremorne Point, Mosman, Neutral Bay, Cammaray etc.

Regional $77.00  (10-15km from our Cremorne store)

We provide for a delivery service in the nearby regional areas from our store from 10-15km distance.  This cost still assumes a single driver.  Unless otherwise specified, by choosing this service and its associated price, customers agree to assist as best they can the delivery of goods into their homes.  Goods which will normally fit into this category are mattresses up to Queen Size only.  Bedframes that come disassembled (setup can be arranged with additonal charges).  Statues, Wall Hangings, Ottomans with or without fold out bed, lounges up to 2.5 STR or less than 2 metres in length that DO NOT contain a fold out bed.  Bedside tables, lamps and all manner of other accessories which require delivery and can be expected to be delivered by a single driver AND the customer making the purchase.  Areas would include, Manly, Seaforth, Clontarf, City, North Sydney, Bondi Junction, Darlinghurst etc.

Outer Suburbs Level 1 - $88.00 (15-20kmkm from our Cremorne store)

For deliveries beyond 15km distance and less than 20km, we can still provide a single driver service at a cost of $88.  Unless otherwise specified, by choosing this service and its associated price, customers agree to assist as best they can the delivery of goods into their homes.  Goods which will normally fit into this category are mattresses up to Queen Size only.  Bedframes that come disassembled (setup can be arranged at an additional charge).  Statues, Wall Hangings, Ottomans with or without fold out bed, lounges up to 2.5 STR or less than 2 metres in length that DO NOT contain a fold out bed.  Bedside tables, lamps and all manner of other accessories which require delivery and can be expected to be delivered by a single driver AND the customer making the purchase.

Outer Suburbs Level 2 - $99.00 (20-30km from our Cremorne store)

For deliveries beyond 20km distance and less than 30km, we can still provide a single driver service at a cost of $99.  Unless otherwise specified, by choosing this service and its associated price, customers agree to assist as best they can the delivery of goods into their homes.  Goods which will normally fit into this category are mattresses up to Queen Size only.  Bedframes that come disassembled (setup can be arranged at an additional charge).  Statues, Wall Hangings, Ottomans with or without fold out bed, lounges up to 2.5 STR or less than 2 metres in length that DO NOT contain a fold out bed.  Bedside tables, lamps and all manner of other accessories which require delivery and can be expected to be delivered by a single driver AND the customer making the purchase.

 

Outer Suburbs Level 3 - $120.00 (30-40km from our Cremorne store)

For deliveries beyond 30km distance and less than 40km, we can still provide a single driver service at a cost of $120.  Unless otherwise specified, by choosing this service and its associated price, customers agree to assist as best they can the delivery of goods into their homes.  Goods which will normally fit into this category are mattresses up to Queen Size only.  Bedframes that come disassembled (setup can be arranged at an additional charge).  Statues, Wall Hangings, Ottomans with or without fold out bed, lounges up to 2.5 STR or less than 2 metres in length that DO NOT contain a fold out bed.  Bedside tables, lamps and all manner of other accessories which require delivery and can be expected to be delivered by a single driver AND the customer making the purchase.

Outer Suburbs Level 4 - $160.00 (40-50km from our Cremorne store)

For deliveries beyond 40km distance and less than 50km, we can still provide a single driver service at a cost of $160.  Greater distances usually require tolls and other costs to be incorporated into the price.  Unless otherwise specified, by choosing this service and its associated price, customers agree to assist as best they can the delivery of goods into their homes.  Goods which will normally fit into this category are mattresses up to Queen Size only.  Bedframes that come disassembled (setup can be arranged at an additional charge).  Statues, Wall Hangings, Ottomans with or without fold out bed, lounges up to 2.5 STR or less than 2 metres in length that DO NOT contain a fold out bed.  Bedside tables, lamps and all manner of other accessories which require delivery and can be expected to be delivered by a single driver AND the customer making the purchase.

Outer Suburbs Level 5 - $QUOTE REQUIRED + ALL TOLLS (50+km from our Cremorne store)

 

 

2.TWO MAN DELIVERIES

Local $80.00 (within 0-11km from our Cremorne Store)

We contract out for a delivery service in the very local area from our store in Cremorne with the use of 2 delivery men and a truck.  The minimum fee of $80.00 covers delivery of most goods of any size that can fit into a small truck.  Unless otherwise specified, by choosing this service and its associated price, customers agree that the path to their delivery is uninhibited and excess time will not be required to complete the delivery process ie: no more than 10 minutes on site.  This type of delivery is usually reserved for Large Heavy Bulky items which cannot fit into a normal delivery van, and are too heavy for customers to safely assist at the point of delivery.  Items such as King Size Mattresses, Complete Bedroom Suites, Large Modular Lounges with or without sofabeds built in.  Areas would include Cremorne, Cremorne Point, Mosman, Neutral Bay, Cammaray etc.

Regional $100.00 (11-16km from our Cremorne store)

We contract out for a delivery service in the regional areas surrounding our store in Cremorne with the use of 2 delivery men and a truck.  The minimum fee of $100.00 covers delivery of most goods purchased from us that require the use of a small truck.  Unless otherwise specified, by choosing this service and its associated price, customers agree that the path to their delivery is uninhibited and excess time will not be required to complete the delivery process ie: no more than 10 minutes on site.  This type of delivery is usually reserved for Large Heavy Bulky items which cannot fit into a normal delivery van, and are too heavy for customers to assist at the point of delivery.  Items such as King Size Mattresses, Complete Bedroom Suites, Large Modular Lounges with or without sofabeds built in.  Areas would include, Manly, Seaforth, Clontarf, City, North Sydney, Bondi Junction, Darlinghurst etc.

Outer Suburbs Level 1 $120.00 + All Tolls (16-25km from our Cremorne store)

We contract out for a delivery service in the outer city areas surrounding our store in Cremorne with the use of 2 delivery men and a truck.  The minimum fee of $120.00 covers delivery of most goods of any size that require the use of a small truck.  Unless otherwise specified, by choosing this service and its associated price, customers agree that the path to their delivery is uninhibited and excess time will not be required to complete the delivery process ie: no more than 10 minutes on site.  This type of delivery is usually reserved for Large Heavy Bulky items which cannot fit into a normal delivery van, and are too heavy for customers to assist at the point of delivery.  Items such as King Size Mattresses, Complete Bedroom Suites, Large Modular Lounges with or without sofabeds built in.  Includes most areas in the Sydney CBD.  Does not include areas such as Newcastle or Wollongong NSW.

Outer Suburbs Level 2 $160.00 + All Tolls (25-40km from our Cremorne store)

We contract out for a delivery service in the outer city areas surrounding our store in Cremorne with the use of 2 delivery men and a truck.  The minimum fee of $160.00 covers delivery of most goods of any size that require the use of a small truck.  Unless otherwise specified, by choosing this service and its associated price, customers agree that the path to their delivery is uninhibited and excess time will not be required to complete the delivery process ie: no more than 10 minutes on site.  This type of delivery is usually reserved for Large Heavy Bulky items which cannot fit into a normal delivery van, and are too heavy for customers to assist at the point of delivery.  Items such as King Size Mattresses, Complete Bedroom Suites, Large Modular Lounges with or without sofabeds built in.  Includes most areas in the Sydney CBD.  Does not include areas such as Newcastle or Wollongong NSW.

Outer Suburbs Level 4 $QUOTE REQUIRED + All Tolls (40+km from our Cremorne store)

We contract out for a delivery service in the outer city areas surrounding our store in Cremorne with the use of 2 delivery men and a truck.  The minimum fee of $160.00 covers delivery of most goods of any size that require the use of a small truck.  Unless otherwise specified, by choosing this service and its associated price, customers agree that the path to their delivery is uninhibited and excess time will not be required to complete the delivery process ie: no more than 10 minutes on site.  This type of delivery is usually reserved for Large Heavy Bulky items which cannot fit into a normal delivery van, and are too heavy for customers to assist at the point of delivery.  Items such as King Size Mattresses, Complete Bedroom Suites, Large Modular Lounges with or without sofabeds built in.  Includes most areas in the Sydney CBD.  Does not include areas such as Newcastle or Wollongong NSW.

RURAL 50km+, INTRA AND INTERSTATE DELIVERIES

Deliveries beyond 50km from our store require a mutual agreement on cost for delivery as in many cases a freight company will need to be involved and charges apply.  Please contact us for a quote.  We use www.e-go.com.au and Hunter Express for rural intra and interstate deliveries where applicable.  Please note, for some larger items such as sofabeds, liftup beds and large format ottoman beds, it is not practicle for us to delivere these goods at greater distances due to overly expensive freight.  You are however welcome to make arrangements to have the goods collected from us and taken to you at your own expense.  We would be only too happy to deliver your goods to a shipment or holding yard for freighting with the same pricing as detailed above for distance to such holding or freight carrier depots.

When can we deliver?

Please note that deliveries can ONLY be carried out on Saturdays.

Where can we deliver?

We can deliver local to our store, regionally to suburbs in the nearby surrounding areas, and to the outer suburbs of the Sydney CBD.  Due to impracticalities, we cannot deliver to areas such as Newcastle to the north, or Wollongong to the south.  If you live in these areas and would still like to purchase goods from our store, please organise to have your products collected from us using one of many freighting companies in Sydney.  Alternatively, for an additional cost, we will happily transport your goods to your chosen freight company depot for transport to you.  See above delivery pricing for details.

What we will and will not deliver.

We can deliver any and all of the goods that we sell in our store using one of the methods detailed above.  We will not however, deliver goods or take responsibility for goods purchased from other stores that are to be combined or packaged with goods from our store.  For example: if you purchase a bedframe from a store nearby, and a mattress for that bedframe from us.  We will not take responsibility for delivering that bedframe to your home along with your mattress purchased from us.  This is not ethical as you can understand.

Can I arrange my own pick up or delivery?

Of course, we would be more than happy to assist you in getting products purchased from our store into your own delivery vehicle.  Please advise if you wish to use this method at the time of purchase and we will omit any delivery and handling charges.  Please check your items thoroughly and discuss any problems with goods prior to taking them away as no responsibility will be accepted once goods have left our store for private deliveries and pickups, with the exception of warranty related issues.

What we WILL and WILL NOT do when delivering goods.

We will not deliver any goods whatsoever into a home without the owner or a delegated person present.

We will not leave goods with customers unless final payments for those goods have been received.  Final payments using personal cheques will prevent deliveries from being completed until such time as clear funds have been received by Strictly Comfort.  No correspondence will be entered into with respect to personal cheques.

At no time will we agree to leave purchased goods on your front porch or a specified place without your express written authorisation.  Once delivered we take no responsibility for lost of stolen goods under these circumstances.  We also require the presence of a delegated friend or relative who agrees to take full responsibility for goods on your behalf.  If you are unable to be present for your delivery, we will require prior notice of who will take responsibility for your goods at the time of delivery.  Valid Photo ID must be presented by that person and a signature accepting full responsibility for such goods will be required.  Once accepted, we will take no responsibility for damage to goods or for items that were signed for and go missing after your delegated person(s) have accepted responsbility for them.

ACCEPTING GOODS AT TIME OF DELIVERY

Strictly Comfort provides a delivery service where customers can request the delivery people to unpack their goods onsite for them. Please note, the delivery person(s) will require you to sign a “Delivered in Good Condition” docket (copy of your invoice contains this docket) to say that you are happy in all respects with your delivered goods.  It is important to note that by signing this docket, you thereby accept full responsibility for your delivered goods.  If you notice a problem with your goods whether warranty related or otherwise, please DO NOT sign this docket.  Ask the delivery people to stop the delivery process, return the goods to Strictly Comfort and contact us to advise of your decision not to accept the goods and what these reasons are.

Any and all damages (non-warranty related) will become the sole responsibility of the customer once this docket is signed.  If after delivery you notice a warranty related issues with your product, you should contact the store and our staff will arrange to have your goods repaired on site, or collected for warranty work to be carried out at a mutually convenient time. 

SAFETY DURING DELIVERIES

If we deem that it is not safe to take goods into your home without the risk of damage to your property, yourself or the health and safety our delivery people, the delivery will be halted immediately.  Goods will be returned to our store and a safer method will be chosen to safely deliver your goods.  Customers will be wholly responsible for any and all additional costs to redeliver goods where important information was withheld by customers in an attempt to reduce or avoid delivery costs.  Information such as the size of an elevator, the actual amount of stairs involved, width of doorways and or deliveries that were known to require extreme, unusual or inappropriate methods to complete the delivery process ie: lifting lounges with ropes over a raised balcony or through high rear windows using an external roof platform.  Our delivery people are not and will not deliver your goods via any of these methods, please do not ask them to do so as you are risking your property and more importantly…their safety.

Information about the place of delivery

Whilst there is always something that cannot be accounted for, please note that we have been delivering goods for a very long time.  We have seen most of the problems and obstacles that can make the delivery process difficult or unsafe.  By withholding valuable information about the delivery address, you may slow down or cause injury to the product or our delivery personnel with dire consequences.  By doing so, you are likely risking unwanted delays to your delivery and additional costs, not to mention the health of the delivery people under our care and resonsibility.

Information we need to know about before agreeing on a delivery method is as follows: 

  • Is parking readily available in very close proximity to the entrance to the dwelling?

  • Is the delivery to a street address or units/apartments?

  • Is there an elevator and most importantly, is it working and is it large enough for your products?

  • Are there any significant obstacles or problematic things which will make the delivery process difficult or unsafe?  Walls, low ceilings, slippery floors etc.

  • How many flights of stairs are required to reach your level?

  • Is the ceiling high enough for your goods, is there enough turning space at each stair level to turn the product?

  • Is the entrance to your dwelling wide enough for the goods you have purchased (this should be ascertained even before making a purchase)?

  • Are hallways and passageways wide enough for your purchased goods?

  • If you floor is polished timber, have you thought about protective pads to place under the products before delivery people place them and risk scratching your floor?

    These are ALL very important points to consider.  If you have ordered custom made furniture from our store, and you have not calculated the width of your entrance and there is absolutely no way the delivery people can get your purchased goods into your home, it is highly likely they will leave it in a safe place and you will have to take responsibility for arranging to have it placed into your home OR they will bring it back to our store at your expense.  As it would be highly unfair, refunds will not be given for Custom Made Furniture which does not fit into your home for lack of attention to detail when taking measurements.
